Upcoming events

I will be making a quick trip to Northern California this February, for at least 3 events:

  • Book reading and book signing in Point Reyes, to be held at Point Reyes Books on Thursday, February 12.
  • I will be giving a talk at the Long Now Foundation on Friday, February 13, in San Francisco. The title of my talk is \”Social Collapse Best Practices.\”
  • Peak Oil get-together in SF the following Sunday!

Hi Mr. Orlov, Will you be posting this lecture on line?

The Long Now Foundation posts videos of their seminars on their web site. The one by Nassim Taleb is certainly worth watching.

Please provide transcript of the lecture, when available, for those who don\’t watch videos. Thanks

Hi Dmitry. I am very impressed with your thoughts and perfect language you are using. I wrote an article in Russian about you and your work. I want to send it to you. How can I do that? AK

Hi DmitriI\’m in the Bay Area; can you please post details about the book reading/signing (times)? Will you be giving a \’talk\’ or just reading? Is anyone going to record it (video)? I could, if the time of day were compatible with my work schedule…

Doors open 7:00pm, talk at 7:30pm lasting ~1.5 hours, Cowell Theatre in Fort Mason Center. Order advance tickets from LongNow.org to be sure to get a seat. I\’ll give a lecture based on my previous work, but updated for the collapse scenario that has been developing in recent months.
